CANDLE MAKING WORKSHOP

According to the Latvian folk beliefs, February is called the Candle Month, when candles were made of sheep fat or wax. Candle Day (February 2) marked the middle of winter and on that day people had to eat a lot, tell fortune and make candles, because it was believed that candle made in Candle Day burned the longest. But candles can be made all year round. Making candles with your own hands is an informative and nice activity for everyone.
