WORKSHOP OF OLD HOME DECORS

Our ancestors did everything with deep meaning, the decorations of the rooms also played an important role. Puzuri, different decorations made of straw, chains, suns or stars decorated houses in every region of Latvia. There is a perception that the houses were decorated with straw elements only at the Winter Solstice, but it was also done in various other festivities. In the workshop you will learn when and why they were made, as well as learn how to make them by yourselves.
