Post Office
Official name - Aizpute 2nd Class Postal Telegraph Office. Aizpute Post, Telegraph and Telephone Office started working in this newly built building of the Latvian Post and Telegraph Department on November 22, 1931. The post office and telegraph were on the first floor, the telephone on the second.
The building also had three apartments for postal workers: one on the first floor, two on the second, one of them for the Postmaster.
From 1918 to 1945, except for the first year of Soviet occupation, the Postmaster of Aizpute was an owner of the Order of St. Stanislav III class (1915) and the Order of the Three Stars (1929) Jānis Jansons.
Today, the former post office is the property of SJSC Latvijas Pasts (Post of Latvia) that is not used for postal purposes.
